Bacillus clausii suspension is a type of probiotic that is used for the treatment of many health conditions. However, Bacillus clausii suspension storage is tricky. In this blog, we will discuss Bacillus clausii storage and give you information on how to store it properly.

What is Bacillus Clausii Suspension?

Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are good for your health, especially your digestive system. We usually think of bacteria as something that causes diseases. But your body is full of bacteria, both good and bad. Probiotics are often called "good" or "helpful" bacteria because they help keep your gut healthy.

Bacillus clausii, Bifidobacterium bifidum, and Lactobacillus acidophilus are some examples of probiotics. Bacillus clausii is a probiotic bacterium. A probiotic is a living organism that provides health benefits when consumed.

Bacillus clausii is a spore-forming bacterium that lives in the soil. It is sold as an over-the-counter probiotic product under various brand names. The active ingredient in these products is a powdered suspension of Bacillus clausii spores; this powder can be mixed with water or sprinkled on food for oral administration.

Bacillus clausii suspension is a type of probiotic that is used for the treatment of many health conditions. This can be ingested through both oral and injection routes. The modes of administration are inhaled via nebulizers and trachea, injected in the muscle or subcutaneous tissues, and oral which may be taken through syrups, tablets, solutions, and capsules. Bacillus clausium suspension is primarily known to have various antibacterial, anti-tumour, and anti-inflammatory effects, among others.

Bacillus clausii can be found in the intestines of healthy people, but it may not be present in sufficient numbers in those with diarrhea. It is believed to work by increasing the body's resistance to harmful bacteria, increasing the number of cells that fight infection, and producing substances that kill certain bacteria.

Uses of Bacillus Clausii Suspension

Bacillus Clausii Suspension is a probiotic, a combination of two microbial strains known for their pathogen removing properties. These are capable of balancing the gut flora and helping the body fight against harmful pathogens.

As this suspension contains the Bacillus clausii bacterium spores, it provides more benefits than other bacteria. Some of the benefits of Bacillus clausii suspension are -

  • In acute diarrhea, bacillus clausii has been shown to improve symptoms and shorten the duration of illness in adults and children.
  • In patients with H. pylori infection, bacillus clausii can be used as an adjunct to triple therapy to decrease H. pylori eradication failure rate reduce the recurrence rate and adverse events from antibiotic treatment.
  • Bacillus Clausii suspension can treat gastrointestinal disorders such as traveler's diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, and antibiotic-associated diarrhea.
  • Bacillus Clausii Suspension also helps in treating colitis and ulcerative colitis.
  • It is a natural treatment for gastroesophageal reflux (GERD) and peptic ulcer disease (PUD).

Bacillus Clausii Suspension Dosage

According to the instructions for Bacillus Clausii spores suspension, it must be taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before eating or 2 hours after eating). Dosages are as follows:

  • Infants and toddlers (up to 3 years): 5 ml of the preparation once a day.
  • Children aged 3 to 10 years: 5 ml of the preparation twice daily.
  • Children aged 11 to 18 years: 10 ml of the preparation twice daily.
  • Adults and adolescents over 18 years of age: 20 ml of the preparation twice daily.

Please do not exceed the recommended dose and refer to a physician before consuming it.

Storage Conditions of Bacillus Clausii Suspension

Some bacteria do not need to be refrigerated. Other bacteria do not survive freezing temperatures. So it is highly recommended to read the label carefully before storing and using a suspension.

Bacillus Clausii Suspension belongs to the group of probiotic bacterial preparations and hence needs to be stored and used carefully. The Bacillus clausii suspension storage process requires room temperature. Therefore, Bacillus clausii suspension is stable at room temperature, requires no refrigeration, and can be stored for a long time. It is an eco-friendly product that does not contain any solvents or chemical preservatives. This suspension will lose its activity if it is frozen.

Bacillus clausii can survive a greater range of temperatures than other bacterial species (zone IV b). The viability of Bacillus clausii spores in foods may provide an excellent opportunity for its use as a bio preservative. It is non-pathogenic, has full identity characterization by phenotypic and genotypic means, tested for toxigenic activity, and antibiotic resistance.

Bacillus clausii suspension should not be refrigerated. However, the product is stable until the expiry date when stored at room temperature (below 30°C), provided it has been kept in its original packaging. The temperature has not exceeded 30°C during transportation and storage.
